Jared Squires – M.B.A, Ed.D.

I have been blessed to be a part of the University-Model School (UMS) movement for the past nineteen years as a co-founder of Kingdom Prep, former board chairman, and now the headmaster. My wife, Dana, and I first learned of the UMS in the fall of 1999 when our daughter, who is now 25, was in the first grade. At that moment in my life, the Lord began to prompt me in a number of areas regarding what His plans were for our children’s education, as well as His plans for my career. In January of 2000, Dana and I visited the first UMS, Grace Prep, along with its founders, and I have been passionate about this model of education ever since. To make a long and VERY adventurous story short, I left my career as a healthcare executive in August 2008 to pursue my life’s calling as a school administrator. My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in finance, a master’s degree in business, and a doctorate degree in education. My life has been impacted dramatically by the formation and continued development of Kingdom Prep. I am extremely thankful for the opportunity that I have to serve on a daily basis in the many varied capacities at KPA. Go Warriors!

Holly Alexander – M.Ed.

Grammar School Academic Dean

My husband, Josh, and I are very proud parents of twins, Brady and Shelby, who will be sophomores in high school this year. I obtained a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Lubbock Christian University and have since enjoyed my career in education for 21 years. I am beginning my 12th year of service at KPA. Come May, I will have the privilege of presenting a high school diploma to students I taught as first graders. Wow! Time flies when you are having fun! Being allowed the opportunity to partner alongside committed teachers to plan and prepare for meaningful learning experiences is extremely rewarding for me. I thoroughly enjoy spending time in classrooms, seeing first-hand learning in action. I look forward to the new school year and thank you each in advance for the important role you will play in seeing out the schooling that takes place on the days at home.

John DePoe – M.A., Ph.D.

Schools of Logic & Rhetoric Academic Dean

Having survived my first year at KPA, I am now embarking on my second year. My wife and I love KPA, and we count it a tremendous blessing to be part of this community. What a joy it is to know that our girls (Phoebe and Lydia) attend this school! For fun, I enjoy science fiction (books and movies), playing chess, and keeping up my less-than-professional talents on the piano and guitar. I am completing a book on religious epistemology that is expected to be in print sometime in 2019. Much of my life can be summed up in Erasmus’s quote, “When I have a little money, I buy books; and if I have any left, I buy food and clothes.”

Dana Squires

Dean of Family Support Services

I was born and raised here in Lubbock, married Jared Squires in 1991, and graduated from Texas Tech shortly after. We have three “kids,”  Sydney (25), Carson (22) and Sawyer (20), all of whom spent many wonderful years as KPA Warriors.  Sydney and Carson have both graduated from Texas Tech, and Sawyer will be following suit in the next couple of years.  My kids are the reason we began the journey to start KPA, and I would do it all over again, as they benefited greatly from this model of education.  I love working at KPA! The students are top-notch with incredible hearts, and the parents are driven by their love for the Lord and their earnest desire to train their children’s hearts daily. When I’m not working, I love riding my bike, going for walks, spending time with my family, and training my dog, Belle, who will someday be a therapy dog.

Jeff Klein

Athletic Director

I was born and raised in Southern California, went to college in Iowa, and then moved to Texas as fast as I could. I met a beautiful Texan named Lyndi and was fortunate enough to have her say yes when I asked her to marry me. We have been married for 18 years and we have four kids, who all attend KPA. Ever since our kids started to attend KPA, Lyndi and I knew it was a special community. My hobbies are sports, more sports, and then more sports; so when the opportunity to help KPA students develop into young adults, using sports as one of the avenues, I knew the Lord was calling me to help in any way I can. I was blessed through my JH, HS and college years with great coaches and want to be able to give back the same way they helped shape and influence me. Go Warriors!

Nick Clifton

Director of Student Development

This will be my fourth year to be a part of KPA, and I feel so immensely blessed to play a part in the educational and spiritual development of such an amazing student body. I grew up in Tomball, TX, just north of Houston. I have been married for six years to my wife Katie and we have two kids: Emmalyn (4) and Kadence (2). I attended Lubbock Christian University where I graduated in 2012 Summa Cum Laude, with a degree in Youth and Family Ministry. In my spare time I love to woodwork, play guitar, play board games, and read pretty much anything.
