Feed the Need is coming up SOON! These students are on track and have their family fundraising website set up! Our next contest is by GRADE LEVEL. The GRADE that raises the most money before next Thursday, February 28, @ 5 PM gets a pizza lunch on Friday, March 1! There will be a winner in Grammar School, a winner in the School of Logic, and a winner in the School of Rhetoric. Send out those texts this weekend!
Feed the Need frequently-asked questions:
1. We have not set up our family’s fundraising website yet. Is it too late to do that?
-Not at all! Text KPA to 71777 to get started (choose “become a fundraiser”). If you need help with your family website, please respond to this email and I will be happy to walk you through it. Here is a tutorial video as well: https://youtu.be/eQU4IWj34rw Once you have set up your fundraising page, you will receive an email that will have your family “keyword” in it (KPA followed by a number–your friends and family can text this keyword to 71777 to get the link to your family’s fundraising page) and the direct link to your family’s page for you to share with those you would like to ask to donate. If you accidentally have set up more than one fundraising site, please let us know and we can delete any duplicate sites. Also, when you receive a donation, you will receive a text from 71777 and an email to let you know that someone has donated!
2. Do parents have to attend the Feed the Need event on March 22?
-No! Feed the Need will occur during the regular school day on Friday, March 22. Parents are invited to stop in during their students’ shifts, but are not required to attend.
3. I have someone who would like to donate with check or cash. How do we do that?
-Checks for Feed the Need should be made out to KPA with “Feed the Need” and your family’s name/keyword (KPA followed by a number) in the memo line. This money can be turned in to the front desk and we will credit it to your Feed the Need family total. Cash needs to be notated in the same way.
4. Do corporate sponsorships count toward my family’s total?
-Yes! If you own a business or know of a business who would like to be a corporate sponsor, please pick up a corporate sponsor packet at the front desk, or I can email you one. There is a form in there that needs to be filled out and turned in. Once we receive the donation, the amount will be credited to your family’s fundraising site. Again, the deadline for corporate sponsorships to be turned in (including money and logos) is March 4.
5. What is the deadline for raising our money?
-We are STRONGLY encouraging everyone to send out their texts by March 1 (NEXT Friday) and to reach their family goal by March 8 so we have time to get everyone’s shirts made (students who reach their family goal of $500 will receive a free Feed the Need event day t-shirt). If you are asking businesses to be corporate sponsors, the deadline is earlier–payment and logos need to be sent in by Monday, March 4, so we can get their logo on the shirts and other promotional items. THE ABSOLUTE last day for payments to come in for all other individual/classroom/family totals for incentives is Thursday, March 21.
GOOD LUCK to these KPA Warriors that will be competing this weekend at the PSIA district meet. Thank you for representing KPA well!
