Mrs. Sides’ daughter and former KPA student, Reagan Sides, brought her guitar and they all had fun fiddlin’ and singing Christmas carols!

With the help of Mrs. Evers and Mrs. Bridges, the art students made over 1,000 cookies!

We are very proud of Upper School students Hope Scarborough, Daniel Sell, Kara Hawthorne, Noelle Mitchell, and Katie Hawthorne. These students were all recognized by our local VFW for their essays entered into the Patriot’s Pen (School of Logic) and Voice of Democracy (School of Rhetoric) contests.

Katie received 2nd place in the the local Voices of Democracy contest and was presented with a $300 check.

For the Patriot’s Pen awards they recognized the following submissions from our school: 1st from KPA is Kara Hawthorne; 2nd Daniel Sell; 3rd Hope Scarborough; and honorable mention Noelle Mitchell. These winners were awarded with cash prizes as well.

Way to go, Warriors!

In our last video of 2018, we talk with Maitlyn Yarbrough who had a great conversation in class with the 6th and 7th grade girls that serves as a perfect reminder for all of us this Christmas season!

The SoL girls bible study group sang carols for residents at the Lubbock Hospitality Nursing Facility on December 15. The residents and their families enjoyed the singing and couldn’t wait to take pictures with the girls. They visited several rooms as well as sang up and down the hallways for those who couldn’t get out. What a blessing for the girls it was!
