Upper School News

Over 40 of our School of Rhetoric students braved the cold, rainy weather on Saturday, October 13, to serve together at the Lubbock Dream Center. We decorated bags for the over 350 Thanksgiving meals that will be delivered to families in the surrounding neighborhood, worked in the clothing closet and food pantry. Then, we divided into teams and walked the neighborhood picking up trash, praying with people, and registering them for the Thanksgiving meals the Dream Center will be giving out.

On October 6th, the 6th grade Science class took a trip to Carlsbad Caverns and had a great time!

Check out the latest “Let’s Talk” video with Ms. Maitlyn Yarborough, 6th and 7th grade girls’ Discipleship teacher.

Fine Arts News

The School of Rhetoric Theatre Arts class is gearing up for TAPPS One-Act Play district competition. They will perform “Booby Trap” for the competition, which will be at All Saints on October 24. Mark your calendars for December 6th–they will perform the play in a dinner theatre setting at KPA!

In Music class, students played Pumpkin Slide, with note naming and rhythm assessment. Our 5th graders composed a pumpkin melody with their recorders. We had fun with pumpkins!
